Each quiz has between 5 and 10 questions, each with four options. Behind each option are weighted scores across four personality dimensions specific to that quiz. For example, the "Planner or chaos agent?" quiz measures logical, expressive, planner, and social. Choosing "Right now. I'm already making a list." scores +0.9 on planner and +0.5 on logical. Choosing "Day of. Honestly, this has worked before." scores −0.9 on planner and +0.3 on expressive. Once you finish, your scores across all four dimensions are totalled and matched to the archetype whose profile is closest to your distribution. No account needed to see your result.

Archetypes are the named personality outcomes of each quiz — typically three to five per quiz. They are not generic labels. Each one describes a specific behavioural pattern: how you actually make decisions, handle conflict, work under pressure, or show up in a new relationship.

Compatibility on PersAura depends on the quiz topic — because the right kind of match isn't the same for everything. Some quizzes are scored on similarity: for shared values or communication style, you want someone whose scores land close to yours. Others are scored on complementarity: if you're both high on the planner dimension, you'll likely clash over control — you're better matched with someone whose planning style offsets yours rather than doubles it. Each quiz has a flag that defines which model applies, and the compatibility score is calculated accordingly across all four dimensions.

Once two people complete the same quiz, PersAura compares their dimension scores — four per quiz, each ranging from roughly −1 to +1. Depending on the quiz's scoring mode (similarity or complementarity), the system calculates how well each person's dimension distribution fits the other's. The final score reflects the overall quality of that fit across all dimensions, not just whether you picked the same options.

After completing a quiz, you can share it with anyone via a link. You can ask them to answer it normally, or to answer it as if they were you — guessing how you responded. You then see a side-by-side of their guess about you versus your real answers.

On your quiz result page, tap "Play with friends" and choose "Find their guesses." Share the link with whoever you want to test. As they answer each question, they'll see your actual answer revealed after each one. When they're done, their guesses appear on your results page so you can see exactly where their picture of you matched reality — and where it didn't. Most people are surprised by at least one answer.
